Day-by-Day Itinerary
Collect your family SUV at George Airport and drive to Knysna (1 hour). Stop at the Knysna Elephant Park where kids can feed and touch elephants. Check into your family lodge and spend the afternoon exploring Knysna's waterfront — ice cream, boat rides, and the famous Knysna Heads viewpoint.
Tonight's Stay
Belvidere Manor Family Cottage
Visit Monkeyland primate sanctuary where over 550 primates roam free through indigenous forest — kids love spotting different species on the canopy walkway. Next door, explore Birds of Eden, the world's largest free-flight aviary in a stunning forest dome. Afternoon beach time at Nature's Valley — a pristine lagoon beach perfect for swimming.
Tonight's Stay

Drive to Tsitsikamma for the famous treetop canopy tour — zip-lining through the forest canopy on 10 platforms connected by slides and walkways (suitable for kids 8+, gentle option for younger ones). Walk across the Storms River suspension bridge and enjoy lunch at the park restaurant. Optional river tubing for the adventurous.
Tonight's Stay
Tsitsikamma Village Inn Family Room
The highlight for most families! Full-day guided safari in Addo Elephant National Park. Kids receive a junior ranger activity pack to check off animal sightings. See massive elephant herds, buffalo, warthogs, and with luck — lion and black rhino. Stop at the underground waterhole hide where animals come to drink just meters away. Sundowner picnic in the park.
