Budget Kruger Explorer
An incredible Big Five experience that won't break the bank

Tour Overview
Proof that you don't need to spend a fortune to experience the magic of Kruger. This 3-day budget safari stays inside the national park itself, using SANParks rest camps that offer comfortable accommodation at a fraction of the price of private lodges. But don't let the word "budget" fool you — the wildlife is exactly the same, and Kruger's network of tar and gravel roads means self-drive game viewing is incredibly rewarding. Your experienced guide knows every waterhole, river crossing, and quiet corner where the Big Five like to hang out. Full-day game drives cover the most productive areas of the park, and optional sunrise or sunset drives with SANParks rangers add a special dimension. This is the smart way to do Kruger — maximum wildlife, minimum cost.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Meet your guide at Nelspruit or KMI Airport and drive to Kruger's Numbi, Malelane, or Crocodile Bridge gate. The adventure begins immediately as you enter the park and start spotting wildlife. A full day of game driving takes you through some of Kruger's most productive areas — the southern region is home to large concentrations of all Big Five species. Stop at a picnic spot for lunch before continuing to your rest camp in time for sunset.
