Your Journey
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Start in Hazyview or Graskop and spend the day exploring one of the world's most spectacular scenic routes. Stand at God's Window and look out over the Lowveld 900m below, marvel at the geological wonders of Bourke's Luck Potholes, and feel the spray of the Lisbon and Berlin Falls. Kids will love the lookout points and the stories of the gold rush era. End the day at a charming family lodge near Hazyview.
Tonight's Stay
Family Lodge — Hazyview / Panorama Route
Transfer to your family-friendly safari lodge in the Greater Kruger. Check in, settle the kids, and enjoy a family lunch. At 3 PM, the whole family boards the open safari vehicle for your first game drive. Family drives leave slightly later and return slightly earlier than standard drives, with a focus on the animals kids love most — elephants, giraffes, hippos, and zebras. Junior Ranger booklets are handed out for tracking their sightings.
Tonight's Stay
Family Safari Lodge — Greater Kruger
Morning game drive with the family, searching for the Big Five. Your ranger will engage the kids with stories, animal facts, and tracking challenges. Back at the lodge, the Junior Ranger program kicks in — kids enjoy a guided bug hunt, learn to make plaster casts of animal tracks, and study the stars on a constellation chart. Parents can relax by the pool or enjoy a couples' spa treatment while the little ones are supervised. Family bush dinner around a campfire with marshmallow toasting and traditional stories.
Tonight's Stay
Family Safari Lodge — Greater Kruger
Another exciting morning drive — today your ranger will focus on completing the family's Big Five checklist. The reserve's trackers are in radio contact, increasing your chances of finding the elusive leopard. After brunch, older kids (6+) can join a guided nature walk near the lodge, learning about insects, birds, and medicinal plants. The afternoon drive ends with a sunset stop and hot chocolate for the kids. Tonight's farewell boma dinner is a celebration with Junior Ranger certificates, badges, and a special surprise for the little ones.
