Tour Overview

Berenty Private Reserve is Madagascar's most famous lemur sanctuary. Here, habituated ring-tailed lemurs are so accustomed to visitors that they approach within arm's length, sunbathing in their iconic "sun-worshipping" pose with arms outstretched. The reserve also protects the extraordinary spiny forest — an alien landscape of octopus trees and succulent plants found only in southern Madagascar. Night walks reveal the mouse lemur — the world's smallest primate.
