Desert to Delta — Namibia & Botswana Grand Safari
From Sossusvlei's towering dunes to the Okavango Delta's waterways — 12 epic days

Tour Overview
This is Wilderness Safaris' signature route — the journey from the world's oldest desert to the world's largest inland delta. It is a study in contrasts that no other continent on Earth can match. Begin among the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei — the tallest sand dunes on the planet, some over 300 metres high. Walk the ghostly clay pan of Deadvlei, where 900-year-old camelthorn trees stand petrified in white clay. Continue to Damaraland — a lunar landscape of granite kopjes where desert-adapted elephants wander dry riverbeds. Then cross into Botswana for the Okavango Delta — a lush paradise of crystal-clear channels, lily-covered lagoons, and palm-fringed islands. Here, elephants swim between islands, leopards stalk through papyrus, and the birdlife is staggering. It is the ultimate African contrast — from bone-dry desert to aquatic wonderland.
