Tour Overview

This classic 5-day itinerary combines the endless plains of the Serengeti with the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater — a volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife that National Geographic calls "Africa's Garden of Eden." Two extraordinary ecosystems, one unforgettable safari. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera and home to the densest concentration of large mammals anywhere on Earth — including the elusive black rhino. The Serengeti's vast plains offer equally spectacular game viewing with massive lion prides, cheetah, leopard, and (depending on the season) the Great Migration herds. This is the quintessential Tanzania safari.

Ngorongoro Crater — full-day game drive in the "Garden of Eden"
Serengeti's big cat capital — lions, cheetahs, leopards
Black rhino sightings in the Crater (one of the best locations)
Scenic drive along the Great Rift Valley escarpment
Picnic lunch on the Crater floor
Sunrise over the Serengeti plains
