Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is one of the most remote luxury camps in Africa — eight tented suites in the dramatic Hoanib River Valley, where ancient ephemeral rivers carve through 3,000-year-old volcanic basalt. The camp is a Wilderness Safaris property and a portal to the Skeleton Coast National Park, where desert-adapted lions and elephants survive against impossible odds.

Daily fly-out trips to the Atlantic coast (a 45-minute scenic flight) reveal seal colonies, shipwrecks, and the surreal where-desert-meets-ocean landscapes. The Hoanib has the world's densest population of brown hyenas — the rarest of the hyena family.
