LUX* Le Morne

Le Morne Brabant is one of the most dramatic mountains in the Indian Ocean — a UNESCO-listed basalt monolith rising from a turquoise lagoon. LUX* Le Morne sits at its base, on a peninsula of white sand that extends into one of Mauritius' most beautiful lagoons.

This is a resort that doesn't take itself too seriously. The LUX* philosophy is "lighter, brighter" — fun experiences, unexpected surprises (a "phone home" red telephone booth, a secret "message in a bottle" left in your room), and a relaxed atmosphere that feels more like a boutique hotel than a 149-room resort.

The beach is phenomenal — kite-surfers launch from the peninsula tip, and the lagoon is perfect for SUP, kayaking, and snorkelling. Le Morne is also Mauritius' prime location for witnessing the "underwater waterfall" optical illusion from the air.
