andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is one of safari's most theatrical properties — three intimate camps of mud-and-thatch suites whose interiors are pure baroque drama: ornate chandeliers, gilt mirrors, oil paintings, and fireplaces stoked nightly.

Perched directly on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, the lodge looks down 600 metres into the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera — a 260km² wildlife sanctuary holding 30,000 large mammals including rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, and the densest predator population on Earth.
