About One&Only Gorilla's Nest
One&Only Gorilla's Nest is a boutique luxury retreat at the base of Mount Sabyinyo, in a fragrant eucalyptus forest minutes from the gorilla-trekking start points. The 21 stone-and-thatch lodges are arranged around a central great house with vast windows facing the Virunga volcanoes.
Each lodge has a wood-burning fireplace, indoor and outdoor showers, and timber decks looking onto the forest. The wellness centre offers post-trek massages, the wine cellar is exceptional, and the full-board cuisine is contemporary Rwandan fusion.
