Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is the only safari camp located within the boundaries of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park itself — meaning gorillas, chimpanzees, and forest elephants regularly pass through the property. The 8 raised tented suites have four-poster beds, indoor showers, and private decks looking into ancient rainforest.

The Buhoma trailhead (where gorilla treks begin) is a 5-minute walk from camp, eliminating the early-morning drive other lodges require. The camp is run by Sanctuary Retreats with strong community partnerships including the Buhoma Bwindi Community Hospital.
