Solio Lodge

Solio Lodge is the only lodge inside the 17,500-acre Solio Game Reserve — the model for private rhino conservancies in East Africa, established in 1970. The reserve is home to over 200 white rhino and 50 black rhino — the densest concentration of these species anywhere in the world.

Just six private cottages, each with vast windows facing snow-capped Mt Kenya (the second-highest peak in Africa). Activities are uniquely diverse: rhino tracking on foot, horseback safaris, mountain biking, and game drives across rolling plains where prides of lions and even cheetah and leopard hunt.
