The ideal period is May – October (dry season). This coincides with the dry season when wildlife congregates around water sources, making game viewing exceptional. Vegetation is thinner, so animals are easier to spot. This is also the best time for big five in private sabi sands reserves. That said, the green season (November–March) offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and lower prices — a great option for photographers.
