Royal Drummers of Burundi — UNESCO Cultural Experience
Witness one of Africa's most powerful cultural performances
About This Tour
The Royal Drummers of Burundi (Tambourinaires) are one of Africa's most iconic cultural performances — recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Twelve drummers carry massive drums on their heads, performing intricate rhythms and dances that have been passed down through generations.
This cultural tour combines a drumming performance with a visit to Gitega (Burundi's political capital), the National Museum, and a walking tour of Bujumbura's vibrant markets.
