Cairo & the Pyramids
Where ancient wonders meet one of the world's most vibrant cities
Why Visit Cairo & the Pyramids?
Cairo is a city of staggering contrasts โ the ancient Pyramids of Giza stand at its western edge while a modern metropolis of 22 million pulses with life. The Great Pyramid, the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, is worth the journey alone. But Cairo offers so much more: the treasures of Tutankhamun at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the medieval alleyways of Khan el-Khalili, the stunning mosques of Islamic Cairo, and a food scene that will leave you craving koshary and ful medames long after you leave.
The Great Pyramids โ Up Close and Personal
Nothing prepares you for standing at the base of the Great Pyramid. At 146 metres tall and 4,500 years old, it's the most impressive structure humans have ever built. Add the enigmatic Sphinx and you have the ultimate ancient wonder experience.
Grand Egyptian Museum
The brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum near the Pyramids is the largest archaeological museum in the world, housing over 100,000 artefacts including the complete Tutankhamun collection โ a game-changer for Egypt tourism.
Islamic Cairo & Khan el-Khalili
Wander through a thousand years of Islamic architecture โ stunning mosques, madrasas, and the legendary Khan el-Khalili bazaar where merchants have traded spices, gold, and antiques since 1382.
Nile-Side Dining
Cairo's food scene is extraordinary โ from street-side koshary stalls to rooftop restaurants overlooking the Nile. The city's culinary heritage is as rich as its ancient history.
