Luxor & Valley of the Kings
The world's greatest open-air museum — temples, tombs & the golden age of pharaohs
Why Visit Luxor & Valley of the Kings?
Luxor is the heartland of ancient Egypt — a city built over the ruins of Thebes, once the most powerful city on Earth. The East Bank features the colossal Karnak and Luxor temples, while the West Bank hides the Valley of the Kings where 62 pharaohs were buried in elaborately painted underground tombs. Add Hatshepsut's breathtaking mortuary temple, hot-air balloon rides at sunrise, and a Nile cruise, and Luxor becomes one of the most extraordinary destinations in Africa.

Luxor & Valley of the Kings Safari \u2014 FAQ
A standard ticket includes entry to three tombs. Tutankhamun's tomb and Seti I's tomb require separate tickets. We recommend the Premium Luxor Pass which covers all tombs and major Luxor sites.
Absolutely! Luxor deserves 3–4 days on its own. Fly in from Cairo, explore the East and West Banks, take a balloon ride, and sail on a felucca. A Nile cruise is wonderful but not essential to experience Luxor's treasures.
Summer temperatures reach 40–45°C (July–August). We recommend visiting October–March when daytime temperatures are a comfortable 25–30°C. Always carry water and sun protection.
The classic circuit is Cairo → Luxor → Aswan → Abu Simbel. A Nile cruise connects Luxor and Aswan beautifully. Add Red Sea beach days for the ultimate combo. We design custom itineraries to fit your interests.
