Tarangire & Lake Manyara Safari — Elephants & Tree-Climbing Lions
Ancient baobabs, massive elephant herds & the famous tree-climbing lions

Tour Overview
Tarangire and Lake Manyara are two of Tanzania's most underrated safari destinations — and together they offer experiences that rival the Serengeti at a fraction of the cost and crowds. Tarangire National Park is home to Tanzania's largest elephant herds — hundreds of elephants gather along the Tarangire River during the dry season, walking beneath ancient baobab trees that are thousands of years old. The landscapes here are some of the most photogenic in East Africa. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions — a rare behaviour seen in very few places in Africa. The lake itself attracts millions of flamingos, while the groundwater forest hosts troops of baboons and blue monkeys.
