The definitive 13-day East Africa expedition crossing from Kenya's Masai Mara into Tanzania's Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and the Highlands — following the Great Migration across borders.
This is the East Africa safari to end all safaris. Cross the border between Kenya and Tanzania, following the Great Migration as it flows between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti — the same route the wildebeest have followed for millennia. Begin in the Mara with three days of intensive big cat safari. Cross into Tanzania's Serengeti for migration river crossings, a hot-air balloon flight, and luxury tented camp accommodation. Continue to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day descent into the world's largest unbroken caldera. Then discover the hidden gem — the Ngorongoro Highlands, where walking safaris through wildflower meadows and Maasai cultural encounters offer a completely different side of Africa. This is the journey for those who want it all.

Green = peak season for this safari
Peak season: July – November. Wildlife viewing is at its best during these months when vegetation thins and animals gather near water sources.
Insider Tip: Visit the Giraffe Centre and David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage before your safari
Insider Tip: Stay in the Mara North Conservancy for fewer vehicles and off-road driving privileges
Insider Tip: The central Seronera area is excellent year-round; follow the migration herds north to the Mara River from July
Insider Tip: Arrive at the crater rim by 6:30 AM for the best game viewing before the clouds roll in
Yes. Nairobi, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Highlands are well-established safari destinations with excellent safety records for tourists. Our local guides have 10–20 years of experience, all lodges have 24/7 security, and internal transfers are handled by licensed operators. We monitor travel advisories daily and adjust routes if needed. Over 14,000 guests have travelled with Ingwe Africa Safaris without incident.
The ideal period is July – November. This coincides with the dry season when wildlife congregates around water sources, making game viewing exceptional. Vegetation is thinner, so animals are easier to spot. This is also the best time for cross-border migration tracking. That said, the green season (November–March) offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and lower prices — a great option for photographers.
The per-person price covers all accommodation (12 nights), all internal flights & transfers, all meals & local drinks, hot-air balloon with champagne, ngorongoro crater fees. Not included: international flights, visas (kenya & tanzania), travel insurance. We offer flexible payment plans and there's no deposit required until your dates are confirmed.
Vaccination requirements depend on your itinerary and country of origin. Yellow Fever vaccination is required for Kenya and Tanzania. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended for bush areas. We provide a detailed health brief 60 days before departure with specific advice for your route. Always consult your travel doctor 6–8 weeks before travel.

This easy to moderate safari is suitable for most fitness levels. Game drives are in comfortable 4x4 vehicles, and walking is optional. Some activities like walking safaris require moderate fitness — we'll advise on alternatives if needed. The lodges are equipped with all modern comforts. We regularly host guests aged 8–80+ and can adapt the pace to your preferences.
Per-night value: From $791/night including all meals, activities, transfers & expert guiding — significantly below the $800–1,200/night average for comparable lodges booked separately.
Our East Africa specialist can tailor this 13-day itinerary to your exact preferences — dates, lodges, activities, group size.
