This is the ultimate Kruger National Park experience — a full-day open-vehicle safari led by an expert field ranger from Hazyview. Kruger is South Africa's flagship national park, covering nearly 2 million hectares and home to the highest diversity of large mammals in the world.
Depart before dawn to catch the bush at its most magical — sunrise over the African savanna, with animals at their most active. Your experienced ranger navigates through different ecosystems: mopane woodland, riverine forest, open savanna, and rocky kopjes, maximising your chances of seeing the Big Five.
Kruger is home to over 147 species of large mammals, 507 bird species, and 114 reptile species. Your guide uses years of bush knowledge, fresh tracks, alarm calls, and radio communication with other rangers to track wildlife. Stop at one of the park's iconic rest camps for a mid-morning coffee and brunch, then continue the afternoon drive through different habitat zones.
