This unforgettable combination safari begins in the late afternoon when the Kruger bushveld is bathed in golden light — prime time for predator activity. Your expert ranger will navigate the best routes in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, tracking lion prides, leopards descending from trees for the evening hunt, and herds of elephant heading to waterholes.
As the sun dips below the horizon and paints the sky in spectacular oranges and purples, you'll stop for a traditional bush sundowner — cold drinks and snacks served in the wild as the African night awakens around you.
Then the real adventure begins. Using powerful spotlights, your ranger reveals the secret world of Kruger after dark: African wild cats, porcupines, bushbabies with glowing eyes, spotted genets, and — if luck is on your side — a leopard on the prowl. The night sky above is absolutely breathtaking, with no light pollution for hundreds of kilometres.
