The Pearl of Africa — Gorillas, Chimps & the Source of the Nile
Uganda — the Pearl of Africa — is one of the continent's most biodiverse countries, offering gorilla trekking at half the cost of Rwanda, world-class chimpanzee tracking, tree-climbing lions, and the source of the Nile. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to roughly half the world's remaining mountain gorillas, while Queen Elizabeth National Park's Ishasha sector offers the rare spectacle of tree-climbing lions. From white-water rafting at the Source of the Nile in Jinja to tracking chimps in Kibale Forest (the highest density of primates on Earth), Uganda packs extraordinary wildlife diversity into a compact, welcoming country.
