Why Visit Chobe National Park?

Chobe National Park is Botswana's first national park and home to the highest concentration of elephants on Earth — an estimated 120,000 strong. The legendary Chobe River frontage offers Africa's most spectacular sunset boat cruises, with herds of elephants swimming, bathing, and playing in the water just metres from your boat. Located just 70km from Victoria Falls, Chobe is the perfect safari addition to any Southern Africa itinerary.

Frequently Asked

Chobe National Park Safari — FAQ

Chobe has approximately 120,000 elephants — the highest concentration on Earth. During dry season (May–October), massive herds gather at the Chobe River, with hundreds visible at once from boat safaris.

Absolutely — it's Southern Africa's most popular combination! Kasane (Chobe's gateway town) is just 70km from Victoria Falls. We arrange seamless road or boat transfers between the two. Most guests do 2–3 nights Chobe + 2 nights Victoria Falls.

May–October (dry season) is best for elephant herds at the river. Peak season is August–October when concentrations are highest. Green season (Nov–Apr) is quieter with excellent birding and lower rates.

Chobe is more accessible and generally more affordable than the Okavango Delta. Road access from Kasane means no expensive bush flights. Lodges range from $300–$1,500/night, with excellent mid-range options available.

As a wildlife photographer, Chobe is paradise. The waterhole hides gave me eye-level shots of elephants drinking. The sunset cruise light is just magical. I'll be back every year.
